Parks in Prague

Prague is a beautiful ancient city. If you like parks and a little serene silence, there are a lot of parks here for you to visit. Among the parks in Prague here is a list of few which ones you should visit.

The first park is the Kampa Island (Ostrov Campa). This park is right beside the Malá Strana coast. Though this is called an island, it is basically a big piece of river bank with a canal flowing around it. If you want some wonderful pictures, walk along its length. There still can be seen some old waterwheels. These were used to power mills in this area. You can also visit the museum which is inside this park. It is called the Museum Kampa. Here you can find some amazing collections of some of the finest European art. Another garden which you should visit when you are visiting the Kampa Island is the Pet?ínské sady Gardens.

To go to the Pet?ínské sady Gardens, move away from the river and go up the hill. If you want, you can enter the park in Malá Strana. You can come out in Smíchov if you want some excitement. This garden is very hilly and large. You can get a good view of the Castle from the slopes of the apple and pear orchards. Fruits are hanging down in bunches by mid-September while in winter, the slopes are full of ice. Want to visit another park in Prague?

This park in Prague is called Vojanovy sady. This park in Prague is not quite visible to the ordinary eye. But if you are searching for it, you will surely get it. You will get the park when you are moving from PET?ÍN back to Kampa Park and Charles Bridge. This is a secret garden of Malá Strana. It is quiet and has quiet a few peacocks, goldfish ponds and fruit trees. You also find a lot of roses and tomatoes!
