Prague is a great place to spend a holiday. However if you are on a short break to Prague, here are some things you need to know. Prague Ruzyne (PRG) Airport is at a distance of 10km from the center of the city. The public airport for international as well as domestic flights is called the Prague International Airport. All scheduled as well as unscheduled flights take place from here. A short break to Prague can be very relaxing especially because Prague has a very good system of buses, trams and metro. You also have the Funicular that operates from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm daily onto the Petrin Hill.

There are a few things you must see if you are on a short break to Prague. First of all, you must see the Prague Castle. It is the largest castle in the world. It is about 570m long, 128m wide on an average and occupies 7.28 hectares. Tourists all over the world come to view this castle. Then you can see Charles Bridge. This bridge connects Old Town with Lesser Town. This is the first stone bridge that was made over the Vitava. These are a few must see things on a short break to Prague. Have more time? Then you should also see the Powder Tower.

This is a 65m tall tower. This is also the gateway to the Royal Route. This tower leads to the gateway by going through Old Town and over Charles Bridge. The trail ends in the Castle which is located up the hill. The Powder Tower is a Gothic piece of architecture. It was built in 1475. These are a few things you should see on your short break to Prague. If you miss these, then you have missed a lot. Prague has a lot more interesting places. But those require more time to see.
